Keith Thurman defends his WBA "Interim" Welterweight Title on Saturday night, when he battles veteran former world champion Julio Diaz. Also, one of the most exciting fighters in the sport, Lucas Matthysse looks to rebound after a loss to world champ Danny Garcia, when he fights John Molina. This card will feature Omar Figueroa as well. All the action will go down at the Stubhub Center in Carson, California.
Matthysse was on a tear, before losing to Danny Garcia. The Argentinian knocked out his previous six opponents, and is touted as one of the sports most exciting fighters. His style generates exciting fights, and his bout with John Molina, who has been contending for years at 135 lbs, should be an interesting match-up.
Thurman is a dude with power in both hands, the unbeaten Welterweight is 22-0, having scored 20 of those wins by KO. Still considered somewhat of a prospect, Thurman looks to bump up his competition, when he fights Julio Diaz, who has been in with the likes of Shawn Porter and Amir Khan. Even though Diaz lost both of those bouts, his experience could bode will for him against Thurman.
The stage is set, first up Matthysse vs. Molina Prediction
